Blueberry basil coconut smoothie

This recipe has been inspired by a smoothie recipe from Thr1ve! It is so fresh and the basil simply makes this smoothie POP!!

This smoothie is packed full of nutrients thanks to  blueberries which are:

  • High in antioxidants which protect our bodies from damage by free radicals

  • Help to improve brain function and memory

  • Low in calories, but high in nutrients including fibre, vitamin C and vitamin K

  • May lower blood pressure

  • Protect LDL cholesterol from oxidative damage

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons coconut cream (Eg. ¼ tin of Ayam Coconut Cream)

  • ~350ml water

  • 1 cup blueberries

  • ½ mango

  • 4 leaves fresh basil or 1/2-1 drop of Young Living Basil Essential Oil

  • Handful of ice

Optional ingredients

  • protein powder

  • ½ cup soaked cashews

  • ½ leaf of fresh Aloe Vera flesh

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients into a blender. Start by adding 1/2 drop of the basil essential oil and add more if desired, the herb oils are SO strong and concentrated so a little goes a very very long way!
