Glowing face serum

Glowing face serum

This is one of my absolute favourite DIY recipes to make. Not only is it absolutely amazing for your skin and supports your emotions, but it’s also so so cost-effective, under $8 for this recipe and would easily last 2 months using this both morning and night!

You also know exactly what’s in it, all without nasty synthetic chemicals which play havoc with your endocrine system which produces hormones that regulate metabolism, growth and development, tissue function, sexual function, reproduction, sleep, and mood, among other things.

Gluten free buckwheat bread rolls

Gluten free buckwheat bread rolls

If you choose to cut processed bread out of our meals like we did many years ago, you do miss the convenience of making a quick sandwich or bread roll.

They are gluten free, dairy free, and also nut free. There’s also no waiting for the mixture to rise - 2 bowls is all that’s required, easy.

Gluten free granola

Gluten free granola

This recipe is one of our staples. It’s great as a snack, but we love it sprinkled on top of a smoothie bowl, a chia seed pudding, some berries, or just some coconut cream and we have this for breakfast or lunch (and even some dinners!).

Packed with healthy fats from all the nuts and seeds, there’s also some extra omega-3 fats from the added chia seeds and flaxseeds.

Natural deodorant paste

Commercial deodorants are usually the culprit of some very dangerous and toxic chemicals called Aluminum compounds which have been linked to a number of cancers, in particular breast cancer as you roll it on so close to...you guessed it...your breasts! Let's take a closer look.

They block up the sweat ducts and temporarily stop the flow of sweat limiting your ability to detoxify, and they can also be absorbed by your skin and mimic estrogen, which promotes growth of breast cancer cells.

So many people keep asking for this so here it is! My simple home-made raw chocolate!

When it comes to flavouring you can keep it simple, use good quality food safe essential oils, or sprinkle nuts, seeds, cacao nibs or dried fruits on top. Just adding some salt is delicious when you have it with a nice glass of organic red wine...just saying.

Raw goji, orange and coconut slice

Raw goji, orange and coconut slice

This is definitely a little more 'gourmet' looking with the beautiful layers, but trust me when I say it's still super EASY to make! I don't even clean my food processor between the base and filling ;-)

As most of my recipes, it’s also grain-free, gluten-free , egg-free and dairy-free so most people are able to tolerate this. For a nut-free version simply use your favour seeds such as pepitas and sunflower seeds.  Adding the orange really adds something special I think too, though it's delicious without it too if you're not a jaffa fan! So enjoy, and have some fun creating these beautiful and tasty layers :-)
